Leysin E-Bike Tours

Finding the flow above Leysin.

Stay for a night, then get out into the mountains with a local guide and an e-bike—both included, and completely free.

There is a lot of mountain above Leysin. You see it from the village straight away: the slopes rising behind the hotels, the open terraces, the ridgelines that pull your eye further into the Alpes Vaudoises. The easy thing would be to admire it from a balcony. The better thing is to spend a morning riding through it.

That is the idea behind the free guided e-bike tours offered with selected Leysin hotel stays. Book one night at one of the participating partner hotels and you can join a three-hour guided ride with Soulscape Adventure. The guide is included. The e-bike is included. There is nothing extra to pay for the tour.

The free e-bike offer

  • Stay at least one night at a participating Leysin partner hotel
  • Join a guided e-bike tour with Soulscape Adventure at no extra cost
  • Your e-bike and guide are both included
  • Three-hour tours run every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
  • Available from May through October, inclusive

A proper introduction to the mountain

This is not about hammering out kilometres or turning a holiday into a training camp. An e-bike makes it possible to get above the village without spending the whole morning worrying about the climb. You still pedal, you still earn the views, but there is enough assistance to enjoy the route, the scenery and the stops along the way.

The tours are shaped around the people riding that day. Some guests want a relaxed introduction to the local trails and viewpoints. Others are more confident on two wheels and want to cover a little more ground. The point is to get people out of the hotel and into the landscape, with somebody local leading the way.

Mountain biker riding on an Alpine trail
Leysin has mountain views in every direction. An e-bike gives you more time to enjoy them.

Why an e-bike is the right bike here

Mountain towns are not built on flat ground. That is part of their charm, but it also means a short route on a map can feel very different once the road starts climbing. With an e-bike, the uphill sections become part of the fun rather than something to endure.

It also makes the ride more inclusive. Couples and friends do not always arrive with the same fitness or the same cycling experience. Assistance helps close that gap, so the group can ride together, stop together and make the most of the same views. You do not need to be a mountain-bike expert to join in.

“The best first ride in a new place is one where you are not staring at your phone, wondering whether you have missed a turning.”

Five places to stay, one good reason to ride

Any one-night stay at the following participating hotels qualifies you for the free guided e-bike outing. Each offers a different style of stay, but all make a good base for exploring Leysin.

Hôtel Central Résidence & Spa

A comfortable, family-friendly Leysin hotel with a spa and pool facilities, plus rooms and spaces suited to couples, families and groups. A good option if a post-ride swim or a slower afternoon sounds appealing.

Alpine Classic Hotel

Set in the heart of Leysin, Alpine Classic is close to village amenities, local transport and the mountain lifts. It is a practical, easy-going base for guests who want to step out into the resort and start exploring.

Leysin Lodge

A collection of self-catering chalets designed for families and groups of friends. With space to settle in and prepare your own meals, it suits guests planning a more independent mountain break.

Hôtel Le Grand Chalet

A historic, family-run Leysin hotel with panoramic views across the Alps. It has the sort of classic mountain-hotel feel that makes coming back after a day outside part of the experience.

Hôtel La Tour d’Aï

A small, welcoming mountain hotel with cosy rooms, an Alpine setting and easy access to the village and surrounding mountains. A relaxed choice for a short Leysin escape.

How the morning works

After you have booked your overnight stay, get in touch to confirm the available tour date. Rides run Tuesday to Friday, from May through October. We will make sure the right e-bike is ready, talk through the route, and then head out from Leysin for around three hours of riding.

Bring the usual things you would take for time in the mountains: comfortable clothing, layers for changing weather, sunglasses, water and something warm for a stop. We take care of the bike and the guiding. You just need to turn up ready for a good morning outside.

Stay the night. See a different side of Leysin.

The offer is deliberately simple. It gives people staying in Leysin a chance to do more than look at the mountains from their hotel. It is a way to see the valleys, forests and viewpoints that sit just beyond the village, without needing to own specialist equipment or know the local routes.

Whether it becomes the highlight of a weekend away or the beginning of a longer mountain-bike trip, it is a very good reason to stay one more night in Leysin.
